Canada Day

I've been weighing the pros and cons of being open vs. being closed on Canada Day. Often we close on Canada Day because it's a long weekend and traffic is slow. However this year it's smack dab in the middle of the week, and therefore not as easy to decide. So I will be open from 10-5pm for your scrapbooking pleasure, unless I find I am all by myself. If it's a ghost town 'round here I may close as early as 3pm. Hope that's not totally confusing. As always, if you're planning to come scrapbook, it never hurts to call ahead 955-4850.

Sneak peeks...

3 new collections from Graphic 45, shipping in August.

The Renaissance Faire Collection is a sophisticated journey to the golden age of fabulous art, music, and literature. Designs combine famous paintings, architectural elements, opulent textiles, wallpaper, and old text to create images worthy of royalty. An antiqued jewel tone color palette adds to the elegance of the motifs and patterns. This beautiful collection is perfect for collage and paper crafting, holidays, weddings, special occasions, heritage projects, card making and more. Renaissance Faire offers a fresh approach to timeless treasures.
The Christmas Past Collection evokes memories of Grandma’s house, with the heady fragrance of gingerbread baking in the kitchen, a Christmas tree decked out in its holiday best, and carolers at the door. Angels, heirloom ornaments, Rudolph, Santa and the elves— they're all here, wrapped in a heartwarming color palette of red, green and gold with the patina of age. Holiday images seeped in Christmas Past—a terrific way to share and celebrate Christmas Present.
The Domestic Goddess Collection is a playful celebration of women's traditional roles drawn from the days when they proudly wore aprons and vied for blue ribbons at the county fair. Designs featuring a rich mix of reds, yellows, blues, and greens, were inspired by vintage tea towels, table linens, food labels, and images of cooking, sewing, laundry, and other household chores. For collage, paper crafting, cards and layouts, this collection is endlessly versatile, offering a smile and a nod to the Domestic Goddess in all of us.
Can you guess which new line I'm most anticipating? Leave a comment and those with the correct answer will be in to win a little (G45) gift.

Canvas Album Class

Trisha's been having some camera/computer issues, so she was only able to get me a few pics of the Canvas Album class coming up. The cover features the canvas daisy below and you can choose the printed version or the naked version (it won't stay that way for long). Oh there'll be lots of Glimmer Mist being sprayed that day. The best thing about glimmer misting a project like this is you can completely cutomize to make it any color combination your little heart desires.

Other pages (not yet shown) include a mix of teals, greens and blues, and browns.

When: Saturday June 20th, 2-6pm
What to Bring : Black journalling pen, foam brushes (at least 2 or 3), Glue (FabriTak HIGHLY recommended, glue dots, red line tape, Sanding block, edge distresser, Sewing needle (With large hole for embroidery floss) scissors and trimmer.
Cost:$60, just a few spots left.

last chance...

So that we can get the product ordered and kitted we've put a final cap on the #'s for Trisha's classes. This means that we have just a few spots (or kits) still available in each class. If you've been thinking about it, nows the time to sign up. Also if you cant make it to the classes, but want the kits (which have fabulous instructions) you can sign up for those now too.

We are now also opening up the remaining spots for our Saturday Night Crop on June 20th. Cost is $10.

Trisha will have photos of the Canvas Album project for me later today.

More details will follow, but this little Anniversary celebration of ours will be going all week long, starting Monday June 15th, with cake and coffee and a FREE make n'take for anyone who's interested.
Each day we will be doing a different make n' take at the art bar, some will be free some will have a nominal fee. We hope you'll join us.

So I will extend the earlybird deadline till Friday May 22nd

Registration for individual classes is now open!

We will not be having a LNC tonight, we close @ 9pm.
